Merlin Metalworks 1987

merlin_product_tidisc01

This I believe is a 1987 Merlin mountain bike and it should be one of the first 300 made since it has no serial number and roller cam brake boss out  back. I bought this from an Italian racer with this rear UNI-Disk in place. I decided to keep the UNI-disk on there since this is how the bike was raced and because without it the bike looks pretty much like any modern titanium mountain bike.  The components are Shimano M730 Deore XT. I changed the fork to a McMahon titanium which is extremely rare. The fork has a steel unicrown, ti legs and aluminum fork ends. Merlin was born out of employee’s from Fat Chance Cycles.
