Merlin Titanium Road Bike
Merlin got it’s start in 1986 and shot into the national scene very quickly. Titanium was not very common back then. They were made in Cambridge Massachusetts.
This bike here is in really great condition. It’s a pretty early one. Back then there were no titanium bottom bracket shells so they had to use the same tube they used for the head tube for the BB shell. For a bottom bracket they supplied the spindle and press fit cartridge bearings. This bike has Shimano Dura Ace 7400 series all the way around. The headset is the super rare WTB x Chris King collaboration model featuring Grease Guard technology. Pretty rare headset.
