Moots Road Bike 1983

moots_product_road01

I have always been a big fan of the early 80’s steel Moots bikes so I was excited to find this frame. It has Henry James lugs and luckily still has it’s original stem. I went for a 2010 build with Shimano 105 and Ultegra with Bontrager wheels. The bars are Nitto Noodle, the post is Moots titanium and the saddle is a Cinelli Unicanitor. The ride was so nice on this that I actually sold the road bike that I said I would never sell and only have this as my only skinny tired road bike.

Moots is out of Steamboat Springs Colorado and made by Kent Eriksen. The company was named after Kent’s toy alligator named Mr. Moots that he’s had since he was three.
