This is one of my favorite riding early mountain bikes. It’s a 1985 Ritchey Commando. It’s an absolute blast on single track, down hills, and jumping. It’s not so great at steep climbing but every time I take this one out I’m bouncing all over the trails with a huge grin on my face.

It’s all fillet brazed with Ritchey’s commando paint scheme. This has all Shimano Deore XT Deer Head components which are a mix of silver and black anodized. The hubs are somewhat rare high flange Deer Head models with black anodizing. Sorry for the modern tires in the photo, I forgot to switch them out before the shoot.
